Seth Rides Again
Some of you may remember my nephew from this earlier post last year. I am happy to say that this is him today, on my block, riding a bike with my son and two of the neighbor boys. Boy was he happy to pose for this shot! For those who don’t know Seth, it turned out that he had experimental surgery and then had steel pins embedded in his hips and legs for several months along with an external device that was attached to him as well. There is only one doctor in the country doing this procedure, and he turned out to be a family friend of Seth’s dad! I can’t believe the work that God has done in this boy. If you had asked the doctors even a year ago, they would have told you that he probably never would walk again, yet here he is, not only walking with a crutch (hopefully not for long), but even riding a bike. He does have the equivalent of some scar tissue on his leg bone where it attaches to the hip joint, and it will need to be shaved with some arthroscopic surgery, but he is doing amazingly well. After all he has endured this past couple of years, I am so happy for him. Just wanted to share the good news!
