Well, that was quite a shakeup this morning!  We had a good 20 seconds of strong rolling, and it scared my six year old, but the worse that happened was a few things fell off the shelves. The 1930’s painting of my grandmother is back in place again.  Just a good reminder to be more prepared in case the next one is bigger. Guess that’s part of the price for living in sunny Southern California.

  1. oh I read about this in our news this morning. Glad your all safe. Wellington is know for its earthquakes too.

  2. Oh dear, so glad you’re okay! Except for that big earthquake a few years ago, ours have never been strong enough to let things fall off the walls and shelves. Love the painting and how you’ve accessorized it!

  3. I’m glad nothing worse happened. 🙂 I had a frame fall as well. Thank goodness it only fell a few feet and onto carpet, no damage. Wishing you well.

  4. Hey, you’re blogging again! Glad to hear you didn’t have any damage. That painting is absolutely gorgeous! Love the way you have it displayed.

  5. glad to see you are blogging again… 🙂 I had a few things fall too, nothing major though- hate to see what will happen when the ‘big’ one hits…scarey!

  6. I remember all those earthquake days growing up in Southern CA. Glad to know things are OK.
