This past Saturday, our town had a hometown fair of sorts with all sorts of crafts and activities for the kids, a pancake breakfast, chili dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, Korean barbecue, live entertainment and more. Everything was free, and my kids had a great time winning prizes and making crafts. They each made a talking stick, and this is Sophia’s. Whoever holds the talking stick gets to have the floor until they are done talking. They also made fans, windsocks, crazy hats, painted on a mural and ran and played in the outdoor fountain.

At the end of the day there was a raffle, and I won a pound of See’s candy, a lovely bottle of Sauternes dessert wine, bubble bath, a book, fancy soap and a brand new clip-on iPod!

We went with our old neighbors, and it turned out to be a fun day for everyone.

  2. Mmmm Chocolate! What a fun day and fabulous pictures to remember it.

  3. Wonderful pics Beka. Looks like a couple of good layouts in that lot.

  4. What a great day, we are in fall and heading into winter so seeing sun and water remainds me that it will be a while before we feel the sun on our back. Love the talking stick.
